Use | Uses (R)-3-phenylpiperidine is an intermediate in the synthesis of nirapanib. The anticancer drug nirapanib (Niraparib,MK-4827) developed by Tesaro Biotechnology is a new oral selective polyadenosine diphosphate ribose polymerase (PARP) inhibitor. The drug works by interfering with the DNA repair process in cells, which will make tumors more sensitive to chemotherapy drugs with DNA damage. |
